Zach Anderson is the Lead Pastor at Restore Community Church - Waldo Campus in Kansas City, Missouri. Zach is married to Kelsey, his best friend and beautiful wife of 5 years who is currently in nursing school. They have one child so far: their 90 pound fur-baby German Shepherd mix named Berkley! Zach is a graduate of Manhattan Christian College & Lincoln Christian Seminary. His interests/hobbies are spiritual formation/discipleship, fitness, reading, music, podcasts, movies, and outdoor adventures with his wife. Zach’s dream is to see the spiritual landscape of Kansas City changed by Jesus one person at a time.
A worship team assembled by University Christian Church in Manhattan will be leading students in high energy, high impact times of worship through song. University Worship is committed to excellence and has a deep desire to see students connect with God, and we're excited to have them at Oasis Middle School!

ABOUT THIS YEAR
In 2005, the Kansas Christian Teen Convention became Oasis, with the desire to be a weekend experience for Middle and High School students to experience Jesus in a powerful way and be encouraged and strengthened to impact their world for His Kingdom. In the time since, we've seen God move in the hearts of students and seen this event grow year over year. We've been able to partner with speakers and artists such as Bob Goff, Trip Lee, Mark Moore, Jeff Walling, Eric Samuel Timm, and the Jordan Howerton Band to be able to create an event done with excellence with space for God to do a powerful work. To continue to do this with excellence, and with feedback from wonderful youth workers from across the midwest, we're moving to 2 conferences to better meet the unique challenges facing Middle Schoolers and High Schoolers.
We're excited to focus our energy into just Middle School Students for the weekend of November 30 - December 1, 2018. Oasis Middle School will be high energy, fun, while talking through topics relevant to Middle Schoolers. Our Theme is SOAR, looking at how to trust in God's strength. In a culture that is increasingly hard to navigate and still follow Jesus, we want middle schoolers to be equipped to rise above - to soar - in the midst of the changes, challenges, pressures that are beginning to face them by leaning in on His power in us.
